Comprendo was founded in 2005 and provides language services to the business and public sectors, as well as to private individuals.

We offer translations from and into most languages, and in most technical fields.

During the last 20 years, we have built up a substantial number of clients from a variety of sectors, both locally and from all over Norway. 

We give you a prompt reply to your requests, excellent service and guaranteed quality. So, just ask us – we will help you find a solution! We’re always ready to go the extra mile!

KRISTIN EIKELAND
General Manager

Education:
Kristin has a Master’s degree (Cand.philol.) from the University of Bergen.

She has been a university lecturer and has several years’ experience as an interpreter, translator and language service provider. She translates from English, Russian and Scandinavian languages into Norwegian.

VERA STABENFELDT
Project Manager

Education:
Vera completed her Licenciatura studies in interpreting and translation at university in Spain.

She has several years’ experience as an interpreter, translator and language service provider, both in Norway and in Spain. She translates from English, Spanish and Scandinavian languages into Norwegian.

PAUL GROGAN
Translator

Education:
Paul has an M.Sc. in Geology from London University, UK.

Paul is English by birth, and has over 25 years’ experience as a petroleum geologist, having worked in oil companies, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, and as an independent consultant. He is a translator and editor/proofreader in English, specialising in the energy sector (oil and gas/renewables), as well as technical and legal documents.

ELIN MANSFIELD 
Translator

Education:
Elin is a graduate in translation studies from the University of Agder.

She is one of our most highly competent and closely affiliated partners, working in the language combination English-Norwegian-English. She has more than 15 years’ experience as a translator, editor and proofreader, and specialises in technical translation.

ELLEN MARIE CROCKER
Interpreter/translator
(Government authorised translator)

Education:
Ellen has an M.Sc. (Cand.mag.) from the University of Bergen.

She is another of our most highly competent and closely affiliated partners, working as a translator and interpreter in the language combination English-Norwegian-English. She has extensive experience as a court and conference interpreter, and as a translator of legal, political-administrative and personal documents such as certificates and references, etc.
